Kayla Goes on an Exciting Journey of Discovery
We worked in tandem with the Cleveland Museum of Natural History to produce an iCarly style show that takes viewers on a behind-the-scenes tour of the museum. We designed the set, casted the talented Erikka Franklin to play Kayla, designed and produced Kayla’s trusty sidekick D.A.R.C.I. (short for Drone Aerial Robotic Camera Intelligence), created custom motion graphics, and cut the whole thing together. Curated Curiosity is now showing daily in the Museum’s newly reimagined Murch Auditorium.
D.A.R.C.I. (CGI Robot Sidekick)
Since we produced this project in the middle of “uncertain times” we had to bridge the gap between Kayla in her studio and the museum itself. The solution: D.A.R.C.I. — her robot sidekick. We were inspired by Weebo, the friendly robot from Disney’s Flubber. We put our own twist on things and were off to the races. D.A.R.C.I. even scored a sweet CMNH sticker while at the museum. *Fun fact*: our friends at Nottingham Spirk actually designed the CMNH logo many years ago.
